The Real-time page presents real-time information about the heap, giving a good overview how the memory is being used during the life-time of the profiled process. If the unmanaged resource tracker is enabled, real-time information about unmanaged resources is also presented.
The information includes, for example, the number of total instances, total bytes, live instances, and live bytes. It is updated once every second and at every garbage collect. The history of all collected data is stored and can be used to present the data graphically. Note that the numbers presented are not dependent on the snapshots selected; for an active profiling session, they reflect all memory activity that has taken place since the profiler session started; for a loaded session, they reflect the memory activity that had taken place at the time selected using the session time selector.
Three views are used to present the real-time information, i.e., the Graph, Statistics, and Types/Resources views. The Graph view and the Statistics view are accessed using the “Graph and statistics” page, and the Types/Resources view is accessed using the “Types/Resources” page.
